Ivy’s Designer Guide to Nashville

Ivy is heading to Nashville, TN for our next Ivy Academy during Nashville Design Week on November 7th, 2019. To get acquainted with this vibrant city, we asked three Ivy designers local to Nashville for their favorite eats, drinks, and activities around town. We can’t wait to check them out when we’re there. Are you joining us? Make it a getaway and hit up all of these Ivy Designer-approved hot spots.

SHOP

White’s Mercantile
“A General Store for the modern-day tastemaker” is a boutique shop with clothing, gifts and irresistible trinkets from Hank William’s granddaughter. It’s THE place to shop for gifts in Nashville!  While you’re there, wander down 12th South for more shopping and photo ops.

DRINK

The Patterson House
It’s a local fave for craft cocktails and an amazing vibe.  Start your evening there before the crowd squeezes you out. And then enjoy your drink… the XL ice cubes will keep your drink chilled.

EAT

Rolf & Daughters and City House
Both of them are in the trendy Germantown neighborhood and are simply Nashville’s yummiest meals. Neither of them give you a stuffy atmosphere… at both it’s all about the food. R&D will hand-make your pasta small plates and they add up to a feast. City House is the cheffiest but without pretense. It’s about making the most delicious plates with the freshest and most local ingredients.

SLEEP

Noelle Nashville
A feast for the eyes… luxe and modern it feels like a vacation even in your room. The rooftop bar is perfect for a crisp Fall nightcap!

VISIT

Redo Home & Design
If you’re in town during the week, be sure to stop by my home base, Redo Home & Design on Sidco Drive. It’s a small furnishings boutique and home to Mrs. Paranjape and a bevvy of talented designers!

EAT

The Bluebird Cafe
Go for it’s history, food, and a drink while you listen to the legendary songwriters behind many famous songs perform their favorites.️ I fell in love with this iconic spot when I was 15 years old, and 20+ years later, my husband played there for the first time. Very special to me!

Edley’s
For all things barbecue! And don’t forget that banana pudding!

The Loveless Cafe
Simply for the biscuits and history. Worth the drive!

Tavern
For dinner and drinks. My favorite is their s’mores dessert which you cook yourself at your table!

5th & Taylor
For an incredible date night dinner.

Mitchell Deli
For the most amazing Asian BBQ tofu sandwich/wrap I have ever eaten. Our favorite deli!

The Cupcake Collection
For the best cupcakes in town. The sweet potato flavor is one of my favorites!

DRINK

The Bobby Hotel’s Rooftop Lounge
There is a bus up there and igloos to cozy up inside during the colder months.

A drive down Belle Meade Blvd
To see the most beautiful southern homes.

Nashville Farmer’s Market
To take home some local jams, honeys, and all sorts of goodies.
